Website made using only Xara Web Designer, and no other graphics or software tools. Think of digital printing much like your own desktop printer only in large format size able to print graphics ready for indoor or outdoor use. Like your desktop printer, our large format printers can print unlimited colors and even photos! This is a good option when you wish to use the impact of full-color and the attention grabbing qualities of photos or 3-Dimentional graphics. The sky’s the limit in a digitally printed design. Expect a 3 to 5 year outdoor life expectancy for your digitally printed graphics. More about digital printing The world of graphics and sign making took a giant leap when the development of digital printing technology was made available to sign makers. For the first time since the old days of hand painting signs and trucks we can now produce all the colors imaginable unlike the restrictions in color by the cut vinyl method of graphics and lettering where one is limited to colors available on a roll of vinyl. The previous industry standard method of using cut vinyl for signage and vehicle graphics and lettering became costly as well as labor intensive to apply as colors were added to the design. Each color required a separated file and a trip through the cutter/plotter machine and then some bench work to make it ready to apply. Once you got up to 3 colors that was about the limit. To imagine a colorful design using 6 or 8 colors was dealing with a nightmare of perparation. I mean, we as signmakers love the work but the cost became prohibitive. Enter digital printing which opens up the pallette to unlimited colors which enables us to produce photographs at full size as well as special effects like fades, gradients and realistic shadows and glows. Anything imagineable can now be printed and displayed. Just look at some of the semi-trailers with giant, full-color pictures of furnature, foods or other products. Those pictures go a long way toward our remembering the products they offer. But that does not mean you need to use every color and all the effects and photographs to produce an attention getting design. Sometimes just a light, realistic shadow on some very basic lettering is all it takes to make a design really stand out. Or the ability to use "just the right" color on a vehicle which is not available in a roll of cut vinyl. These available choices can really make a design “pop”. The options are endless and when they're used fittingly, appropriately and in good taste the results can be a design that will get your business positive appeal. For prolonged outdoor use digital prints are laminated with a gloss or matte UV protectant laminate. This protects from abrasions caused by occasional brushes against it's surface and from the sun's destructive UV rays which could cause non-laminated, outdoor prints to prematurely fade. We laminate all prints intended for outdoor use and even some for indoor use to add a little extra gloss or "finish" to the print if it will make it more attractive for it's intended purpose Digital Printing
